# ROI ASIC firmware installation

JavaScript is off. Read the conditions carefully: use Install firmware only for supported stock before August 2026; use Update firmware only for an existing VNISH installation. Unknown or newer stock requires support

Toolkit is the installation tool, not the firmware. Download firmware only from this site's catalog. Run Toolkit on a device on the same trusted local network as the miner

Create a folder, for example C:\VNISH on Windows, and put the downloaded .tar.gz inside it without unpacking or renaming it. Select the folder, not the archive. An empty-looking folder picker is normal: it shows folders, not files

- Match the full model variant and control board, then compare the downloaded file's SHA-256 with the published value

- Save pool and network settings, ensure stable power and cooling, and agree a recovery procedure for this exact board

- Select just one miner. Keep passwords in your local Toolkit, never send them to a website or chat

1. Open Toolkit, create New group, add your miner's IP or local range in Ranges and scan. Select the one confirmed miner

2. Open Commands / All Commands and choose Install firmware for supported stock; Update firmware for existing VNISH. Do not upload our archive through the BITMAIN stock web updater

3. Choose the folder containing our archive. Set Firmware name to vnish and Firmware version to 1.3.6 without the letter v. Check the model shown by Toolkit before confirming

4. Confirm the operation locally and follow Operations until completion. Do not cut power or start another operation while writing

5. Open the miner's web interface, check the installed version and your pools. Watch temperatures, hashrate and errors until stable before expanding to other miners

CVITEK / CV: after a restart, the firmware may need to be launched again using Toolkit → Restore firmware. This is not factory-stock recovery

SSH / authentication error: stop, check local network access and the miner password configured in Toolkit. Keep the exact error log for support. An SSH error alone is not a reason to install newer stock

SD/USB recovery is a separate board-specific procedure. On AML with stock from September 2025 or later, USB unlocking may be needed for that recovery route, not as a blanket prerequisite for Toolkit installation

Third-party firmware can affect the manufacturer's warranty. Do not bypass security warnings, interrupt writing or use a file for a similar model

Previous versions remain available in the catalog. Firmware version must match the version in your selected file name, without the letter v
